Thanks for dropping by, here is a quick intro about myself. I am Sok Hwee and am currently a solo founder of InPACD. This business was started to fuel my passion in designing educational resources that help learners visualise and understand concepts easily. Hence the name InPACD which stands for INtegrating Pedagogy And Creative Design.
I have taught Secondary Mathematics in MOE schools for 20 years. Becoming an adjunct-teacher after 5 years as a full-time teacher allowed me to further explore my interest in content creation. I still love teaching but have decided to take a break from it for now so as to allow the time and flexibility to focus on designing more educational resources and also to pick up new skills along the way.
While teaching the upper secondary students in school, I frequently came across many who needed help recalling lower secondary Mathematics concepts or formulae. That prompted me to design a revision guidebook that covers Sec 1 to 4/5 concepts; students can easily refer to the guidebook if they need a quick recap for their revision. I am especially thankful for a couple of my Math teaching friends who offered their valuable insights and suggestions to help me produce a read worthy book. If you are keen to check it out, please find more details of this book via this link. I have also designed both Math and Chinese posters which schools have purchased to have them placed on classroom walls for visual learning.
Besides Mathematics, I also have a great interest in the teaching and learning of the Chinese Language. Thus when my nieces casually mentioned that they would like to improve on their Chinese proficiency, I jumped at the opportunity to help them with it. Armed with a keen interest in designing and structuring concepts for educational content, I set about developing bite-sized lesson materials for them. The focus of the lessons was for them to be able to effortlessly recognise and write the Chinese characters without depending too much on the use of hanyu piniyn. You can read more about it on my social wall where I share about their lessons and some other education-related topics.
Following the positive feedback for the Chinese posters, I have also done a major revamp of the content by transforming them into videos with short quizzes and games added to help reinforce learning.
So with great improvements made to the above content, I am extremely delighted that I am finally able to share my labour of love with you – bite-sized Chinese learning packs! You can learn more about them here.
I am in the midst of designing more learning packs for Mathematics and Chinese, so stay tuned!
Whatever the reason that led you to my website today, I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to browse through my content and to explore the variety of free resources available for download. Do check out the educational eguides, printable activity sheets or view the learning packs that you deem beneficial for your Mathematics and Chinese learning.
If you have any questions or suggestions on how I can improve on my creations, please feel free to contact me. I am always eager to improve on my educational resources and on a constant look out for opportunities to collaborate with individuals (who have the right skills set and a passion in education), so your valuable suggestions are most welcome!
